Project: Eye in Eye

Era: Roman Era
Period: 1st century CE, Egypt
infant
Age: 3-5

The mummy went through the CT scanner and then the digital skull data was 3D printed. A facial reconstruction was made on this copy of the skull. This child's age and facial shape were different from that of the portrait on the mummy, suggesting that the skeleton in the mummy does not belong to the portrait depicted.
